Blue Card Campaign
The Blue Card Campaign is a statewide advocacy effort to show support for comprehensive clean indoor air laws to protect everyone from the dangers of secondhand smoke.
Blue Card Campaign

There is no risk-free level of exposure to secondhand smoke. It causes heart disease, cancer, sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), respiratory infections, ear problems, more severe asthma, and damages lung development in children less than three years of age.

Persons interested in participating in the Blue Card Campaign must fill out two blue post cards. One will be sent to their state representative, and the other will go to their state senator. To participate, interested persons may contact WCHP at 724-222-6511, ext., 12 or e-mail crw@wchpinc.org.

Become a Tobacco Free Volunteer
We are interested in developing a network of people who are supportive of tobacco-free initiatives, such as petitioning for smoke-free restaurants, contacting elected officials, etc. This means that we contact you (usually via e-mail) with informational pieces and advocacy requests asking you to send an e-mail or to make a telephone call about once every three months. If you think you would be interested in signing up for this network, please contact the Tobacco Free coordinator at 724-222-6511 or info@tobaccofreewashington.org.

Help Make Clean Indoor Air a Reality in Pennsylvania

The Tobacco Free Program of Washington County Health Partners (WCHP) is rallying local support of citizens who want to make Pennsylvania businesses and public areas free of deadly secondhand smoke.

The program is also working to educate residents on the significant health benefits of a comprehensive clean indoor air bill and encouraging everyone to show their support by submitting letters to their elected state legislators at www.NoSmokeIndoors.com.
